This is the best machete you can buy! It will last you a lifetime if you take care of it and you will be depressed when the pile of brush you just hacked away into little trash can size pieces is gone...
I have bought 4 of these to give as gifts...no complaints.
But best of all it is made right here it the USA!

I purchased this machete to use on some rural property. I wanted a quality machete that would last. I also wanted one that was made in America. Previously, I purchased a Gerber machete made in China, which was a cheaply made product. My Ontario knife is so much better!

I purchased this machete about 2 years ago. It has taken a lot of rough handeling and is still in perfect shape. It came pretty dull but after some sharpening it was perfect. The best thing about it is the thickness of the blade. Its not floppy like a latin machete. Its a little on the heavy side but I don't think that counts as a problem. Overall its just awesome and thats all I can say.

I have owned and used a OKC military machete since I was in the Marine Corp. My issue OKC machete that followed me home from the service has performed wonderfully for many years of chopping cattails and brush for making duck hunting blinds, chopping desert cactus and cutting trees down up to 4"dia.
I decided to order both my young boys for Christmas a OKC military machete each because they both love to use mine since it makes quick work of any task.
Upon delivery I opened the package and examined them. The first thing I noticed was how much more heavey these new ones were which took away from there very nice balance and the ability to swing them for a few before your arms would get tired, unlike the older version. The reason for this is because OKC no longer tapers the length of the blade. The blade is now .120 thick the for the whole length of the blade. The bottom shape of the handle where your fingers grab are more squared and does not feel as good in the hand as the older version.
Other then those two issues with these new versions these new military machetes are top quality material, made in the good old USA and will give a lifetime of use to anyone.
I highly recommend these military machetes to everyone.
