All of the kitchen knives included in the Ontario Old Hickory Old Hickory Cutlery Set are fully heat treated and tempered 1095 Carbon Steel. Each knife features a hardwood handle that is attached with brass compression rivets. All of the Old Hickory Kitchen Cutlery Set knives have a razor sharp edge.

Been married long time, had our kitchen knives longer. So when they started to give up the ghost, they did it two at a time. Replaced the primary set with these 1095 Carbon Steel knives in one shot! Great price, after a few passes with a Victorinox sharpener, they became razor sharp! My wife loves them. She was able to prepare whole fish in no time and a hen for my son.
Carbon Steel takes a little extra care but it makes preparing food a breeze, even for the non cook. Great for the outdoor range too.
