  1. cuts like a lazer 4 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Dec 2014

The Rat 2 recently joined the ranks of knives I carry and quickly became a favorite. The thin geometry of the blade makes it a slicing machine and when you finally dull it its easy to get back to scary sharpness. One word of warning though-dont throw this knife, even at short range. Dont ask me how I know.

  3. Smooth companion, insanely fast deployment 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Feb 2014

I have a few edc knives and this one is my favorite. Its smoothness, the design fits your hand so comfortably, it cuts like a boss and the deployment is insanely fast. This probably has to do with an above average detent of the blade, you have to use quite a bit of force on the thumb studs to get it to come out. And when it does, it does!
The knife sits nice and deep when you use the clip.
I love the design of the blade, the slight elevation from body to blade. Handle is not very grippy, it's okay but not impressive.
This is the kind of blade you'll want to buy all the other color combinations of, too.

  4. Everything you love about the Rat 1 in a smaller package 5 Star Review

Really, if you love the Rat 1, but it's too big to carry every day/to work... Buy one of these, you'll love it

  5. Great Mini-Version 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Jun 2013

If the RAT 1 was a bit large/hefty for edc carry the RAT 2 is about the size of a Delica but slightly heavier. I bought one when it recently came out and my son liked it so much I got this one for him. Solid lock up, no wiggle, razor sharp but in a compact but usable size.

  6. Blue Collar Knife 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th May 2013

Just received my Ontario Rat 2 knife and have to say for $25 is an exceptionally well constructed Knife. The 3" AUS 8 blade in satin finish is well built and easy to deploy with the thumb studs. Even though the knife is light weight it has a feel of sturdiness with no up/down or side/side play in the open position. Handles have enough texture for sufficient grip.
