Great, heavy duty knife for most any survival situation. I did improve the sharpness and edge geometry once it arrived but I do that on most every knife I own. Sheath will work OK and is cool design but leather would be better.

Im A Vietnam vet, wish I could have had this knife in the jungles of south east asia!!! super knife, heavy enough to chop down a tree, correct shape for fighting anything. I hunt wild hogs all the time and have broken several other knives, this is the biggest, best knife ive ever seen. All my buddies I hunt with are going to get one.

awsome . people seem to have issue with knives delivered dull . it didnt come very sharp but i have butchered for 12 years and every ontario blade ive sharpened with just a common carborundum stone , ceramic steel then touched up with a smooth steel the blades are what i would use even professionally. ive purchased several ontario military issue knives and just like when i was in the army if it was issued you were responsible for upkeep. the platforms your company has sold to me are fantastic. the raider needed to be stoned out . i prefer to do it by hand just as i did at the pack. it can easily cut through 1 inch diameter manila rope free hanging with one slice. something i would use to save my family or my life if needed. bad ass knife thanks ontario

I've used my SP10 for many years now and no matter what I do with it, I can't seem to wear it out. It stays sharp after much use and sharpens easily when needed. It will chop down a tree or skin a rabbit. It's a bit heavy for some, but it's functionality and endurance make up for that.
No need for a machete or hatchet when this thing is on your belt.

The Bowie Knife makes everyone take notice that see's it. Well made, holds a keen edge. I plan to buy more as gifts.

A solid, no-nonsense tool for everyday carry in the field. I work overseas and had borrowed my mate's Ontario Bowie for a an odd-job. I quickly discovered I had to have one of my own. Good price, well constructed and virtually perfect in every conceivable way. Just what you'd imagine an American knife should be. A classic.

Knife is solid to say the least. It is actually better looking than what it looks like online. I have no regrets on the purchase and the price is the best you'll find. It could've been a bit sharper though.

Got it out of the box and immediately shaved the hair off my arm. My kids were amazed. The heavy blade is perfect for light chopping and in the sheath the weight is no problem to bear. Will highly recommend to anyone looking for the best big bowie dollar for dollar.
